| Enjoy birding... Many varieties of song birds, predators, owls and water birds can been seen and heard on a given day... |
In 2002, after 2 years of planning, Coyote Ridge Riding Centre opened in the rolling hills of West Elgin. Owner/operator Patricia Kell (PK) has been around horses all her life. As a young girl, her Dad taught her how to gently train unbroke horses and ponies for resale. Her school was two miles away and often she rode a pony or horse to stable at a nearby farm rather than walk the open fields or roads. Her passion for horses and children created a desire to teach, and as her life's work now, PK has become a mentor to her many students. "I just want to pass along my understanding and knowledge of horses to the next generation...". |
| ...to provide a safe, fun, learning environment for children and adults; ...to provide equal opportunities for all through interaction with the horse in order to build self-esteem and improve self-confidence; ...to impress upon our students that they can have better relationships with family, friends and the horse; ...to train through trust and leadership, not by force and intimidation simply by "being a better horse/person..." |
| ...ask about lesson programs, Summer Horse Camps, training, boarding, or purchasing your first horse. |
